Why go to Mars?

Astronomers predict man will walk on Mars within a generation. Well, Adam can’t be the first person to walk on Mars (because he’s in a wheelchair) but he can still be the first person to ROLL on Mars, right?

So he is petitioning President Obama to let him be the first person in a wheelchair to go to Mars.

Why does he want to be the first person in a wheelchair to go to Mars? Two reasons:

1. The life expectancy of a person with his type of SMA is somewhat reduced. That means if the experts and astronomers are right, he might not be around when people finally go to Mars. So it’s up to us to do everything in our power to find a cure for SMA and eradicate this disease from the face of the Earth. And then maybe Adam will get to go to Mars.

2. It would be ridiculously awesome to go to Mars.

We want EVERYONE with Spinal Muscular Atrophy to have a normal lifespan and to live long enough to see man go to Mars. That is our goal. It’s that simple.

To help us do that, we need three simple things:

1. Please sign the petition to show your support for Adam and EVERYONE battling SMA.

2. Please consider making a donation to support SMA research.

3. Please share the petition, like our facebook page and invite your friends to join us.
